Start using HTML5 on Expression Web 3.0
Now you can simply use expression web 3 to creat HTML5 websites. follow the instruction for installing the code snippets and Enjoy…
- You need to download the code snippet Zip file from here: http://gallery.expression.microsoft.com/en-us/html5 by clicking the green Download button on the right side.
- Extract the zip file & copy the xml file to the following directory (I’m assuming you are using Windows 7) C:\Users\[YOUR USER]\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Expression\Web 3\Legacy\Expression\Web 3\Snippets
- Open Expression Web 3 and create a new HTML page.
- Switch to Code view, select all the html markup and then press Ctrl+Enter
- Write html5 and then click enter or double click with your left mouse button.
Before vieweing it in your browser:
- download the latest HTML5 reset CSS from here: http://html5resetcss.googlecode.com/files/html5reset-1.4.1.css br: Richard Clark
- And update the CSS file filename & Location (style/reset.css)
Now you are ready to check it on your brower.
Working on FF, Chrome, IE8, Safari. Not tested on older browsers like IE7, IE6.
